Disney100 Studio Lot Celebration
Nametag & Environmental Design

To celebrate one century of The Walt Disney Company's incorporation, D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Club, threw a DISNEY100 STUDIO LOT CELEBRATION on the Walt Disney Studio Lot for Gold Members, which stayed open for Cast Members to enjoy the next day. I had the opportunity to create the Cast Member name tag along with themed wall graphics for a Make-A-Wish auction display space with Melanie Lapovich and Troy Ertel.

Cast Nametag
As Walt Disney said, "It takes people to make the dream a reality." To ensure a smooth and safe event, we outfitted cast members with special event-branded nametags so guests could recognize them easily.

Create100 Auction Display Space
With direction from Melanie and Troy, I developed event-branded walls for a space that showcased items for a Make-A-Wish auction and conveyed information regarding how to participate.
These walls followed the Disney100 and create100 style guides to deliver a cohesive experience for guests looking to purchase rare items or costumes for a good cause. Once I designed the walls, Troy added curtains, lights and greenery to fill in the rest of the Hyperion Bungalow's small footprint.

Legally, I must disclose that my thoughts and opinions are my own and do not reflect the views of The Walt Disney Company. All work here is ©Disney

How We Got Here
With every project, the process is always the most important part. The successes, failures, twists and turns are all important learning lessons that make a project the best it can be.
For this space, I began by laying out the text and location of the artifacts. After that, we iterated the design to find a happy medium between both style guides. Finally, I mocked everything up in scale so the people installing the exhibit would know where everything belonged.
