branding & environmental design
Based on Kuzco's ultimate dream from The Emperor's New Groove, D23 Kuzcotopia Night at Typhoon Lagoon was an after-hours party thrown exclusively for Destination D23 attendees and gold members of D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Club. I took on the entire design process of this event, from the branding and marketing assets all the way to decking out Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park from head to toe in themed collateral to be fit for a king (or at least a llama emperor).
event branding
For Kuzcotopia, the D23 team and I worked together to brand this experience as a nighttime tropical paradise, combining iconic elements of the film and the water park environment. The logo uses letters referencing the film's logo, with its letters taken from titles of the movie's various international releases or created from scratch to stay in its style.

environmental design
After creating the branding, I got the chance for a real pinch-me moment - decorating Typhoon Lagoon! There was a hefty amount of signage for this project, but it also included creating backdrops (the DuckTales backdrop was illustrated by Deniza Sabio), inflatable airstars, bingo cards, waterproof phone bags, 2 DJ booths and a collaborative area with Havaianas!
(Please excuse some of the image quality, these are from across the internet as I was unable to attend the event)
